Gavin's 1st Christmas!

We are so blessed to have had such a wonderful Christmas! Gavin thoroughly enjoyed all of his visits and hugs with family. His sense of humor is really developing as well as his ability to flirt. In fact he almost got his first phone number from a lady at Applebee's last evening. He has his new cell phone (toy of course) in hand and smile and flirty eyes. Oh my! Here are some humorous shots of Gavin Christmas morning.

Gavin's holiday started with Festivus at Uncle Josh, Aunt Kami, and Carter's house on the 23rd (Gavin was 7 months on the 23rd). He played hard and then slept in Carter's crib while mommy and daddy played Partini with Uncle Kirk, Aunt Abbie, Uncle Josh, and Aunt Kami. What a fun tradition...3rd year!

Christmas Eve was jam packed full of fun! We went to Grandpa Bob's and visited. Then we were off t0 Great Grandma Bev and Great Grandpa George's. Gavin had a wonderful time and was given many great gifts. He was able to see his 3rd cousin Monica. He spent time with aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandma Geri. I can't remember a Christmas Eve that I didn't spend with my grandparents so it was very special to share that with Gavin.
We woke up Christmas morning and mommy and daddy gave Gavin gifts as well as some from Santa that were under the tree. He didn't get the unwrapping thing. Hhe was happy as can be once he ripped one piece off and would sit with his piece of tissue paper or wrapping and smile. With a little bit of encouraging we were able to get the gifts unwrapped. The weather was terribly icy and we ventured out to Grandma and Grandpa's. What a relaxing and fun day! Gavin enjoyed his time so much and played and played. He sure does like to entertain and perform. He is going to need a brother or sister soon so he doesn't think he gets ALL the attention ALL OF THE TIME. We are going to have our hands full with this lil man! He was on his best behavior. We ate a yummy breakfast, opened gifts and visited. Our day ended with heading to Grandma's to exchange gifts! Gavin is way too spoiled! Thank you all for such great toys and adorable clothes!
I love you Santa! Thank you for my super fun gifts!

Gavin was recently to the dr. for an ear infection and now weighs in at 18 lbs. 12oz., growing boy! He continued the unwrapping at the dr. office where he tried tearing the white paper you sit on to itty bitty pieces. He is now 7 months old.

Here are some 6 month shots that never got uploaded!

Wow, Gavin, those are some awesome bubbles!

Santa looked a little nervous when we approached with both babies! They were so great! Carter was sleepy and Gavin all smiles...a little beard pulling too!

Look at me, I can sit by myself!

The cousins meet for the first time!

Holding hands...turning to eat baby Carter...my hands are in the picture for safety reasons.

Proud, proud and very excited new aunt! Our beautiful Carter William Coursen!

What an exciting Christmas season! Here are some pictures of Gavin's new cousin and visit with Santa. At Gavin's 6 month appointment back in November he weighed 18.5lbs. He is up to 27 3/4 inches. His first tooth came through on December 7th! Gavin can sit by himself for long periods of time and can creep around in a circle and move backwards with ease. He has a beautiful laugh and loves his dog dog, Oliver, very much. We are still working on how to pet Oliver without pulling his ears and pinching his fur. God bless Oliver for being such a patient dog. Looking forward to sharing more photos of our holiday!
