Gwennie Mae and Gavin Boy

When asked his name Gavin reports that is name is Gavin Boy...not Gavin George. If we break it down he knows that his middle name is George but he associates that with Curious George. He has a stuffed monkey that was won at Waldameer last summer that eats bananas and often goes to bed with him. He also knows that Gwendolynn has a middle name and often refers to her as "Gwennie Mae". Here are some fun things about these two cuties:

Gavin:

Loves singing right now...here are a few songs: Eenie Meenie Handy Manny Mo (AKA Eenie Meenie Miney Mo), Little Bunny Foo, Foo, Row Row Row Your Boat, Where is Thumbkin, Cowboy Song (an original), Lightning Queen Song (an original), and Country Girls Shake it for Me....to name a few

Dokie, dokie Gwennie (Okie, dokie Gwennie)

Bieber (beaver)....i find this so funny since he has no idea who Justin Bieber is but refers to the animal as a "bieber"

Gwennie, here I are! (announcing to Gwennie that he is now in the car)

He often calls Gwennie "baby doll"....melts my heart.

When asked what he wants to be when he grows up he proudly told us "a dump truck"....I think he actually wants to be the truck not the driver....good thing he has a while to finalize these plans.

Playing tractors is one of Gavin's favorite things. We have a few John Deeres. We also have 3 farmers who drive these...Joe, Robert, and Chuck...named by Gavin himself. Joe is the favorite!

Gavin pretends to be a pirate, firefighter, or his cousin Bret. He speaks in a deep, comical voice and has some great on liners...."be right back", "Mom, you look good"...gosh he is a hoot

Gwennie:

4 teeth....top 2 and bottom 2...with BIG wide spaces....I sure love that toothy grin!

Says "dada", "mama", "Gar" (Gavin), "Hi".

Dances with her one hand on her hip

Began waving on 2/7/12 at the Mason's Meeting.

Shaking her head 'No, no" and knowing what it means 2/25/12.

She is a bit of a diva and can get frustrated when she doesn't get her own way. She makes little fists and squeals. This girl has a strong personality that is for sure!

Both kids saw Elmo Live in Pittsburgh and ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE SHOW!

Our biggie girl...Gwennie

Oh my how she has grown! Gosh I just adore this young girl! Gwendolynn, Gwennie, Gwennie lil sister, siser....she goes by many names. She is now 10 months old and a tiny little peanut. She is wearing 6-9 month closing and a size 2 shoe. She has 4 teeth and a great smile. Gwendolynn can stand and cruise furniture, she can crawl REALLY fast, she waves, plays peek- a-boo, patty cakes with the best of them, and has a smile that melts my heart and the heart of many others. With her wild and crazy hair it is hard to not feel warm and loving in her presence. She calls her daddy by name and has a special way of saying her brothers name. I can't wait until she knowingly calls me by name too. She hates when I leave her sight but is very independent with feeding her self and removing her own socks.

New Year's has really changed

Like many things since having children, New Year's Eve has changed a ton. This year it was ALL about the kids. That is not to say that Kevin and I didn't have a great time too because we sure did. We traveled to Lake Chautauqua in New York with our friends the Slaugenhaupts. We stayed in a cabin right on the lake. Gavin and his buddies, Drew and Seth, played their hearts out. Gwendolynn didn't have a girl to play with but little did she know that Jenn was pregnant with her new friend, Juliana. The boys did all the things you are supposed to do....eat junk, play cars, video games, watch TV, dance around, make a lot of noise, wrestle, and play in your sleeping bags....oh and don't forget stay up as late as you can. Gavin didn't feel well at all but boy he tried to hide that fact from us and right on playing his heart out. Poor lil bugger was pretty sick too...but nothing a little medicine and rest couldn't help. What a quick but fun trip!

I hope she always thinks that beer is gross....keep right on sticking that tongue out Gwennie!!!
