Gavin's first Easter weekend was a blast! Thursday and Friday Gavin spent each day with a different Grandma while I finished moving us from the old house and cleaned so we could officially be out. Saturday Gavin attended his 2nd Easter egg hunt at Peanut Park. Kevin was able to attend and so did Grandma Geri. Gavin was happy to see his friend Bryanna! When the race began Gavin crawled through the grass and discovered a patch of dry leaves; he was content! He found 1 pink egg and two sweet girls (Bryanna and Samantha Heller) each gave him one. He had his first taste of chocolate, and like his mommy it was love at first bite!
We spent the rest of Saturday at Grandma and Grandpa Tharan's enjoying the company of our family. Gavin got his first set of golf clubs and golfing hat. He and Carter played and enjoyed their new toys. The day was beautiful and we enjoyed being outside!
Gavin woke up Sunday morning and found 4 hidden eggs filled with Puffs and Yogurt melts...yummy! The Easter bunny left him a basket hidden beside the couch, which he found himself! Inside he had more eggs, bubbles, a singing Easter book, and 3 balls. We got ready in our Easter attire and headed to church. Gavin was thrilled to be at church and let a REALLY loud AMEN at the start of the service. He was a perfect gentleman the rest of the time. He managed to sit with our entire family, he moved from mom, to grandpa, to dad, back to mom then down to grandma and onto Uncle Josh and Aunt Kami. Gavin and Carter gave each other kisses in church and lots of smiles! The family went to breakfast together.
Kevin and I packed up and headed to Sharon. We visited Grandpa Bob and Gavin enjoyed showing off his love of buttons and busyness. We spent the beautiful afternoon at my grandparents and Gavin was spoiled! He received wonderful Easter gifts! Great, Great Aunt Jeanne and Uncle John gave the cutest bunny that sings "A Bushel and Peck", summer outfits, candy, and a book. He got books, candy and clothes from his Great Grandparents. Grandma Geri gave Gavin CD's of fun kid music and clothes. Who knew Easter was a second Christmas? This boy is getting spoiled! We took a walk and ate yummy food. Gavin loved his Great Grandma's chicken and rice and of course bread. We headed home with a tired boy and were very thankful for the wonderful Easter weekend we shared!
